Default Hi,

I saw Bob Woodriff on Oprah yesterday. At least he is fighting for something he believes in but I agree where are the fighters for the people that served in the Iraq War and other wars.

My brother served in Vietnam and died from the Agent Orange. He couldn't get any help he needed to get better. He died at 56. I also lost a freind to the agent orange. His wife got his first check the day he died.

There are just not enough people out there fighting for a lot of these causes that should be delt with. I've always said I wish we could find someone famous to get the ball rolling with RSDS. It takes a famous person to get that attention or a person with a lot of strength to fight the government for what is needed.

Default Lucky guy

I say he is one lucky guy that couldnt keep his head in the tank!
He really kinda deserved what he got, goin over there and then not keeping head his down. Tsk tsk.

I agree he is doing a good thing, BUT! There is a hell of a lot more injuries besides head injuries, and all of them are having the same trouble as we are getting disabilty. Face it, the government is all about putting money in the pockets of themselves, and special interests. We dont matter.....until we dont pay our taxes on time.

/steps off the soapbox

He and the news are just doing what they always do, skew it to their opinion.

Default He is a newsman

He really has no business in a tank in the first place. His own camera man said he couldnt keep his head in the tank.

When I was in Africa I faced down many guns, most were stuck right up my nose! I watched them shoot 2 people in the head for being gay! And shoot 100 people on the beach for not agreeing with the then president. I was the camera man. Thought I was gonna be buried in foreign soil.

That country was not at war!

Iraq is war, and people are getting killed and maimed on a daily basis. What did he think was going to happen? I watched him, he was on a joy ride. One he wont soon forget, and if he goes again I bet he keeps his head in the tank!

Notice they fired the General in charge of the VA. One news man gets hurt and brings light to the subject, and BAM he gets action! We need one newsman to get RSD LOL. Or at least a caring individual to bring light to our cause, and I dont mean another article about one persons plight. We need an in depth report like the one done on the conditions at that hospital.

I might be a little cynical, but I had a surgeon turn my life upside down. Couldnt even touch him with malpractice because the laws prevented it. Kept working even after that tragedy, but was hurt on the job, and again got hurt by the laws. You cant touch sovereign tribal business, even if the state they are in has employment laws. When you crossed the tribal border you may as well be in Siberia.
Hint: be wary even gambling on these properties because you have zero rights when on that property.

After paying heaps of taxes throughout the years the government is now fighting me tooth and nail for social security. Same problem our boys being sent back hurt are facing. They shouldnt have to fight for any care, or money, and shouldnt need a newsman to get hurt and bring light to the subject so they can get this care, treatment, or money.

Default Allen,

You are so right on all of that. I don't know any of the boys and girls that are over in Iraq but it bothers me that they are coming back to nothing. Having to file bankruptsy, fighting for medical care. If and after this war is over I will be amazed at what comes out of it for the ones who fought over there and come home injured for life.

SS has always been a hard *** fight for most everyone. I often wondered how 2 people can have the same medical problems and one gets the SS quicker then the other.

I have seen a lot of that due to watching so many people around here fighting for it. I sometimes think Co. holds the lead for the most disabled. I have been told that we hold the lead for the most people with MS. I thought that was interesting.

SS is the most unpredictable thing I have ever seen. At this point I still don't know what I am going to draw since Bill passed. They have sent me letters on 3 different amounts. I think it goes back to where there are too many irons in the fire. One hand doesn't know what the other one is doing.

I do hope you get your SS soon. Mine was definately no easy task when I got mine. I fought for 8 years. I think I broke the record. Actually they kept losing my records. LOL

When I went down to take care of my SS after losing Bill, they had down the wrong year we were married and she wouldn't take my word for it until I took in my marriage certificate. She also had down that his other 2 kids were mine. She had the wrong year that Bill started drawing SS.

That is a perfect example of what we are dealing with when it comes to SS. Make sure all of your files are where they should be. I was so bad off at the time I couldn't keep up with mine.
