My dad has Barrett's esophagus from long time GERD.
He also had to try different acid reflux meds to find the one that worked best for him , to control the acid problems.

[Barrett's esophagus is a disorder in which the lining of the esophagus (the tube that carries food from the throat to the stomach) is damaged by stomach acid. ]

even when i take the medicine to prevent the attacks and i dont eat after 6pm sometimes it still happens. the RSD is definitely causing my acid reflux problems.
could this be happening to you in small amounts that it aspirates in your lungs but not enough that you feel the burning...more like a burp but then it aspirates in your lungs.

Just a thought! SO sorry this is happening to you. could his be your problem too Loretta?

I've had RSD for 4 years and I have only recently discovered that my breathing rate is almost double what it should be
Apparently when I am asleep it goes back into an almost normal rhythm
It has been put down the the RSD causing problems in the autonomic nervous system which governs things like breathing and heart rate (I also have syncope)
Hope this helps
