Heart Happy Valentines Day..find the happy!!

I just want to extend a very Happy Valentines Day to each of you!!!! I also want to say..find the happy in your heart..I regret to put this in words but we all know and understand what a battle we are facing..RSD is a mad monster..to that I say .. fine!!.. but it has no way broke me down and I refuse to give up the fight..our battle.. but we owe to ourselves to 'live' our lives to the fullest inspite of our condition...Just this morning, I decided that later today, when my daughter drives me to the store, I will pick out my husband's Valentine card and at the same time, I am going to treat myself to some new make-up.. this will give my heart a lift, something to feel good about and something fun to counter act my daily pain and struggle..I know Pete, this won't do it for you..how about some aftersuave? My point is.. be good to yourselves..make the effort and take the time to baby yourself as we all work hard everyday to stay in front of our illness.. so it is important to live each moment to the fullest!!

Happy Valentines Day all!!!

Hugz, Kathy

Heart Simply put

Dear KS,

Once again you go right to the heart of matters. You are so thoughtful, and I thank you. I think its wonderful that at the same time you thought of your husband you also thought of yourself. Living with this disease is the key to getting us through each day. I choose to live with this disease not die with it, although very challenging at times. Loving ourselves just as we are is difficult when fighting pain that you just can't make peace with. I like most of you, reserve my energy for my loved ones...and am so grateful that I can do so, but usually at the end of the day I look like a rag doll. Sooo tomorrow i think I will treat myself to something special, after all if we don't love ourselves, how can we truly love others!! Happy Valentines Day to all and take the time to do something that makes you feel good about who you are...not the disease...simply YOU!! God Bless All

Jeanie

That's easy for me on Valentine's Day because it's my wedding anniversary!! I am married to the most wonderful, caring, sweetest an in the whole world!! We are celebrating later this month at the Tropicana in Atlantic City...we don't have much to gamble on so we will spend a lot of time in our room...Bow-chicka-wow-wow!! LOL!

It's funny, Kathy that you mentioned buying make-up in your post, because I have found that as my RSD progresses I have been buying more and more of it. I have always loved make-up, but I feel that it is important to make myself feel good even when I am in so much pain most of the time. I used to be known for my long beautiful legs and now they are horrible looking, so I try very hard to make myself feel beautiful in other ways.

It is the 'simple' and free stuff (although make-up is expensive)..that counts..RSD is teaching us that.. as you mentioned..take the time to appreciate others and the small stuff.. Funny, as I have actually had some friends say, Kath.. you still clean up nice, meaning other than my ugliness of my disease.. I move like a three legged mule.. but I still look presentable..OMG, thank you, I think!!

Happy Valentines Day all..

Hugz, Kathy
