50 mg @ night to start with for the 1st 5 nights then i go up to 100 mg a night for 5 nights etc, as long as I am ok with each increase...up to 400 mg.

I started with a much lower dose. Within a week I was very moody, etc. I don't drink soda so I can't tell you about it tasting bad. I also felt down...though that could have been from the chronic pain too from the plantar fasciits.

good luck. =) My dr. had me up my dosage pretty slowly. i took it morning and night.
