I've been taking Norco for over a year now and it has been my life saver...maybe you have a type of allergy to it. I did have really bad mood swings with hyrocodone and ibruprofen and that's when they changed me to Norco. I love it because I am losing weight and I don't have to take as much as I would with other pain pills. The cost is a little hefty for me though.

I found with the hydrocodone, oxycodone I was very moody and angry. My husband had said he had never seen me so MEAN before, which is not my nature in any way. After switching to a different family of drugs it made all the difference in the world.

Talk to your doc about making a change. Best of luck.

Whenever I have what I think is a reaction to a drug I google "patient reviews of....." This is particularly helpful to me if when I report the reaction to a doctor I get a response like, "That drug doesn't cause that kind of reaction."

Norco is my life saver also. I think it might be because you are angry already. Some things intensify the mood you already have. Norco are not real powerful, and dont take all the pain away, but at least takes the edge off so you can at least do some things you enjoy. I know you wont be able to be like you were before RSD, but you can do more than you could without pain meds, or more because the pain meds you are taking make you stupid all the time.

I hate that medicated fog, so I try to find a balance of meds and mind.
