for my medical bills. I feel bad. It has been his baby for the past 6 yrs. It is a Mazda RX8 and it only has 35k miles on it. We just couldn't keep it any longer with my bills. I feel so responsible and guilty that he is doing this. I am a stay at home mom and rely on him to pay the bills, etc. I feel like such a drain. Maybe I should feel flattered that he put me above his car but right now I just don't.

It really is amazing the financial burden that CRPS puts on us and our families. I'm driving a 13 year old Jeep that I don't see myself replacing until the wheels fall off. I can only afford to buy just what I "need" now, never anything I just "want". (I miss those days!)

I miss those days too. In 2008 we took a 33% cut in dh's pay. Thank goodness we lived below our means before that! Now dh is paid W2 with his new (sort of) job so we lose out on the deductions of the home office when he was paid 10-99. We do have some extra every month and have been slowly building savings. Thank goodness because we got hit bad with taxes in 2008...we have been on a payment plan but someone did not note it in our account so they levied dh's paycheck this summer. We got a $300 paycheck the end of June. The savings paid the house payment and the minimum on everything else. So grateful we worked to build that savings!! Now we are trying to recover from that PLUS my medical. =( I don't know how I have been feeding a family of 8 (with TWO teenage boys!) on $1000/month (and that pays for clothing, misc needs, etc...and I pay about $250 in medical out of that too!). Somehow it all works out but it sure is stressful.
Sorry to write a book. LOL. J |

I know it sounds chiche... but have you tried couponing for your food part of the bills each month? I am going to start doing it for our family and have been watching "extreme couponing" like a mad woman. haha. let me know if you need tips! There are tons of coupons online that you can use! websites and everything! Iam trying to make a list as I watch the show! maybe coupons could save the extra 250 a month you need for medical bills!!! Give it a shot!
Let me know if you are going to try I can give you some tips! |

Keeping six kids in clothing must be a challenge! Hunt down a Good Will Super Store. If you have teens who are picky encourage them by telling them the can come away with more outfits than if they go to the mall. Do not be too proud to reach out to food banks in your local area. Also, please check into church feeding programs. Our area has two large churches that serve dinner meals twice a week no questions asked.
Better days are ahead for you!!!! |
