Was wondering if anyone else has this problem. I think my bones are soft, I can press into my shin for a minute or so, and not real hard either. Just a firm pressure then remove my finger, and it leaves a dent. The dent will stay for hours, and has a pretty intense pain that also lingers for a few hours.

I am not bearing down with my finger real hard, that is the scary part. It used to do it only on my right leg, but now im noticing my left is starting to have the same troubles.

Any of you find this is wrong with you?

That my friend is called 'pitting or pitted edema' and it's another symptom that pops up now and then in difrent stages of swollenness, try to elevate your legs more often bud and be sure to mention it to your doctor.

When I first had that I was not even diagnosed yeat and I had no clue, there is a pressure point in/on my ankle that eases back my pain there for a few min if I press on it and after showing someone they showed me my finger on the spot left a hole/dent in my ankle... so I stopped .. do you know that that spot is now a swell bump on my ankle that looks like freddy flinstones head after he bumps it?

Any way bud look up the sumptom see if it sounds like whats happening to you.. dr's actualy pressed in the shinbone to see if you have pitting edema always hurts like crazy if you have hyperalgesia or whatever the delayed pain is called it sounds like you do too.

Hey Allen (update) on that nasty angiogram in my wrist, it caused my radial artery to block totaly and permanantly now aparently good thing I have the ulnar artery as well, but this was suposto be a diagnosic procedure?. So I refused to let them do another to look (angio again) at this blockage and I refused surgery to fix, though they werent pushing that one too hard.

I will look that up. The only problem is there isnt any swelling, that is until last night lol. Still scary though lol

Oh jeesh! Now that is scary!! If it is in a larger main artery I would have them get it out, only because there will be tissue death around the clot. Unless they think you are getting enough collateral flow to the area. That is sooo scary!!

Anyways, this pitting only occurs in the right leg. Weird huh? It doesnt even happen to the left leg, so maybe it is from the damage caused from hypoxia? Since edema can happen from blood flow problems, made me think that might be the culprit. Then again RSD is some pretty weird stuff in its own right lol.

I know the damage was done this coming April 7 years ago, but damage is damage right?

The photo is the actual angio, you can see the top of the femur bone in the background. I circled the clot, and this is the right leg view. Hard to believe a little thing about the size of a pencil eraser could cause sooo much trouble.

I guess it is the ER for me this week to check out this edema stuff.

Mine come and go as do most of my symptoms, both legs can get it but usualy it is the main area site of RSD that you will find this kind of swelling, so I was told.

On the artery.. yes there is also the ulnar that supplys the same area so imaginary fingers crossed the swelling stays away from this arm, it seems to be toning down, get lots of cramping though. There is nerve damage from the angio as well.

That doctor was having a bad day and took it out on my arm and me. Reminded me of what that quack did to you, I just pray it dosnt decide to blow up on me as my leg did.. I am using it as normaly as possible as I think that is crucile.. Seven years wow.. I am only comming up on year two and it feels like a lifetime to me.

on the right leg, even when it is not swollen at all. What is weird is my left leg is the one that swells real bad. lol
But doesnt have the pitted edema??

Weird stuff, the reason I even posted up on this stuff lol.

Gonna try to get to to the ER this week, will let everyone know the verdict
