Trudy,
Welcome to the club. You have been given some great information. I would like to add that I finally gave up in this fall and requested to be put on an antidepressent. It was truly a life savor. I was ready to cut my leg off from the pain, the financial stress doesn't help either.
It was brought up that your mom should be on 3 or more meds. BUT don't start them all at once. Maybe 1 a week. I bottomed out and became very ill when they switched all my meds. Horrible and scary.
