Default Hi Jimking

Hi Jimking, Just a few thoughts about the bed issue. I know how hard it is for your wife to sleep.
Those hot spots can be a concern if you sink too deeply into the mattress. However the tempeur pedic, has a firm one, in which you to not do that, but you still get the support. They cost a bunch. Also there are now sheets made by special companies that have products, both blankets and sheets, that distribute heat, or vent it, instead of getting over heated. I can dig around for information on those if you want me too. I sure hope she can find what she needs for comfort of sleep. ginnie

Thanks Ginny! She's hell bent on the sleep number not the foam kind because sometime ago we slept at a relative's house who had the foam bed. I actually loved the bed but she did not. I do believe you that times have changed and there are beds now that do not form to the body like the older ones do. When it comes down to crunch time to purchase a new king size (opposed to the queen we've been using since 1984 (not the same mattress however) I will push to check those newer beds out too.

Default Hi Jimking

Do try several good mattress shops. Try out the firm foam ones. I am not even sure, that off brands do not carry these firm ones now. I love my foam one, and wouldn't go to a sleep number bed for anything. Besides you are paying for an adjustable kind, once you adjust to what you need, the controlls are no longer needed.
Start your search, I do bet you can find something these days, expensive or not, that will help both you and your wife. I wish you all the best. ginnie
