the sleep number bed only allows you to lay one way. If you move you will wake up with pain in other bony places. Knees, elbows, etc Even at my so called number my back still hurts. They have a so called cooling mattress that lays on top of the air coils, but I still find myself on occassion waking up in sweat. My husband complains of back pain almost everymorning. maybe it's just the fact we are getting older and your not suppose to sleep worth a damn.

She sweats alot even when I think its cold. Her take on the foam beds is they form to the outline of the body and in short order heat then builds up in those indented areas.
