Do any of you wear med alert bracelets that signify you have crps? Just in case?

I've never heard of one of those...but I would be very interested in getting one. Do you know how?

I wear one. It has my first name in decorative script on the front with the medical alert emblem. The back has my last name, CRPS Pre surgery block required BP INJ left arm only and my doctor's name and phone number.

The bracelets are typically ugly. I located several websites that produce attractive ones for men and women. Mine has interchangeable bracelets. I am never without it.

I have come too far to risk an urgent situation happening where something preventable will spread my CRPS.

i also wear one every time i leave my house but i have other health issues besides rsd. one great little nugget of advice i received from the rep that has sold me my bracelets was: "if you have multiple medical reasons for wearing one or conditions that change often, the best thing to put on it is the most important and then have 'see wallet card' printed on the bracelet. that way when things do change, you can just change out your wallet card and not have to change your bracelet or necklace."

that advice is perfect for me as my meds and conditions change somewhat regularly. mine has the medical symbol & my name on the front & then on the back it has blood thinners, see wallet card. and my wallet card lists all my conditions, medications & dr.'s name & #.

I wear a MedicAlert bracelet that I purchased through the MedicAlert Foundation. I has an ID # with a phone number to the MedicAlert Foundation. With Medic Alert, you have a profile that lists your medical diagnoses, up to 5 contacts (can be Drs), any implantable devices, your meds, advanced directives (organ donor, DNR, etc). You have to purchase the ID (bracelet, necklace, watch, dog tag, shoe tag, etc) through MedicAlert, a well as pay an annual membership fee. Paramedics and First Responders are trained to look for the ID's. When I was in a car accident a few months back, the firefighters were asking me about my MedicAlert while they were assessing me and my injuries. I have other medical conditions in addition to RSD, I should add, which is why I wear it (and wore it before I developed RSD). I never take my bracelet off.
