Default will look that block up

Thank you, I will look up that beir block. I go for my second opinion on surgery. My foot and ankle are very bad. I had been misdiagnosed for 8 years before an MRI was done. I need tendon transfers, achilles lengthened, and the heel moved back under me. I also colapsed my arch. I am very afraid to do this surgery because of the PN and risk of making RSD worse. On the other hand, my walking is being taken from me. This is one heck of a position to be in. Thanks for the suggestion. ginnie

I am so sorry you have been diagnosed with CRPS. I somehow missed this bad news. I would absolutely reject surgery since it is highly likely the CRPS could spread.

Although the surgery could fix the structural problems you could be much worse off if your CRPS spreads. Take care that desperation does not rule your decision. When it comes to pain it is so easy to allow that to happen.

It might be a good idea to aggressively treat the CRPS.

Hope things improve quickly for you!!!!

Default Hi Ballerina

After the cysts were removed, I developed PN all over the foot. since that time, not all the time, but sometimes, there is a burning under the arch of the foot that is terrible. I have not formally been diagnosed, since most of the doctors I have seen, what to do the surgery to correct my foot. Three seperate incisions are needed to fix all that is wrong in the ankle. I am not sure what to do. If I don't do the surgery, I could loose my ability to walk altogether. If I go ahead, I am afraid of this PN and RSD like symptoms will get worse. I have no idea who to see about this. I did tell my pain specialist last time I was in about this, but she made no recommendation. Any ideas would be appreciated. I see the orthor surgeon for second opinion on Friday. Thank you Ballerina, ginnie
