Default Mom of a RSD sufferer

Hello, My 14 yo daughter has had RSD in both her legs hips to toes since Feb 2011. She has been hospitalized 11 times, been on the vent with IV ketamine 6 times, been in extensive outpatient therapy 3 times, had epidurals 2 times, and finally found the thing that has worked!! A SCIATIC NERVE BLOCK. It has been a blessing. Although her symptoms returned after 6 weeks of painfree time, the area of her pain is less and so is the extent! I think with this terrible debilitating disease the things that work depend on the person. The MD's are still not sure where the disconnect is with regards to the "nerve" misreading in RSD patients. Each person is different and each treatment is different, so I say find a MD that will be willing to try it all until something works. DO NOT settle for RSD taking over your life. IF meds don't work, don't take them, move on!! I know it has worked for us.........
