K2Kfla, Welcome to the forum. Here you will find some great information. We help each other and what each of us have been through may help another find relief.
I am sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you have obtained a lawyer to represent you. Unfortunately, your employer probably has a right to let you go at some point in time. Most states are fire without cause. But you should still receive your workers comp. Are you scheduled soon,I hope, for your blocks? Some people get really good results while others do not. You are fairly early in getting blocks so I hope you get good relief. Quote:

When first diagnosed with RSD I am betting that most of us had never heard of this terrible disease - which is in itself a big problem - but you are in a minority that it is diagnosed early on.
I have RSD in my left upper extremity (resulting after left rotator cuff and bicep repair surgery) and am left hand dominant, so I can relate. had a total of 13 sympathetic nerve blocks - no regrets there. They helped me to a certain level - and any help with RSD is huge. Directly following each block my husband drove me to my physical therapist who was able to manipulate movement more due to the drugs I had in my system still. I am convinced that this combination was a good decision. I continue to fight this disease daily and pray that it isn't spreading, but I do know that the blocks gained some improvement, and that it has a better chance of positive impact early on. Best wishes to you - and do your best to find one positive thing in each day no matter how small. |
