Hi Guys - was wondering if any of you have heard of this or had to have one done. They are conducted by physical therapist and required by some doctors before they can/will complete disability paperwork.
I have never heard of it but was wondering what it consisted of, etc... Thanks! |

Befor all my crap I worked in a PT office as a tech and so i saw FCEs often. It can take from 3hrs to usally 6hrs. So its all VERY detailed. You will be video taped. The PT will go over all your stuff, make you do excerses see what you can do and cant do. She will see what your job is and re create that job and you will have "peform" it and see how long you can. Then they will do other things like possibly sit you at a desk on a computer to see if you can do that. Theres alot involved and its no fun for the paitent or PT. make sure you take your meds and you have meds on hand with you because it will be long! If you have any other quistions just ask and ill answer them. Im actually suprised its your drs wanting to do it, because usally its WC that makes you do them.
