Default new to RSD- Calf feels weird

I was just diagnosed with RSD last week. I had a hamstring injury 7 months ago. I had burning pain off and on for five months, but I naively assumed it was normal or part of the healing process. I had an MRI and it showed a minor muscle strain.

My RSD first started off as chronic soreness in my calf. Then it felt like my calf muscle was "used up" or overexercised and it would turn to severe burning.

Recently I thought I had a blood clot in my calf because I had excruciating pain and my foot just turned cold two weeks ago. I went to see a vascular specialist who did an ABI and ultrasound. The doctors didn't tell me anything after the ultrasound but they said the ABI was fine. They let me go so I assumed I was okay.

Then the vascular doctor told me I had RSD since I told him about the excruciating burning pain, muscle weakness, prior injury, etc.

So if you have RSD in your leg, is it normal for your calf to feel like it's not breathing? I feel like there's no oxygen in my calf and it feels clogged inside and soft like there's no muscle?

It's very odd. I haven't seen a neurologist or pain management doctor yet. I'm waiting to schedule an appointment with my primary doctor so I can get a referral to a neurologist. I am trying to tell her that it's urgent and I desperately need to see a neurologist before it spreads.
