It is a big step to have to have assistance of any kind. I can relate. I am currently using an electric wheelchair. It has made my life so much better, though I am self-conscious when I use it. I figure I can either use my energy and pain tolerance basket to navigate to where I want to be on foot then be exhausted and in pain, or I can use the chair and have plenty left in the basket to participate and have fun. Hmmmm. I'll use the chair.

Before the chair I used a walker. Today, I'd opt for the rollator.

I am facing loosing my drivers license. I don't drive much anyway due to the meds, but being told that I can't drive just rubs me the wrong way. That is really taking a bite out of my independence.
