Default Additional Update on Docs and my fall

Thanks for your responses.
I agree that I should have an MRI or at least an X Ray. So about 20 mintues ago (after my last post) I called my family Dr. and insisted I see my regular Dr. who knows me and my condition. Indicated that I was concerned that the other Dr. did not prescribe x rays or an MRI. and gave me a scrip for something she did not know the contraindications possible.
Well - forget that . They said I couldn't see my regular Dr. for 3 weeks. Can you believe that?
Then I called my neurologist for an emergency apt. No apts. at all. I 'm on a waiting list - could be a month. Since I already went to the family Dr. she said to just take the selexan and see how I feel in a few weeks.
Maybe I should just go to the ER. That looks like the only way I can get seen. The pain has now traveled into my neck and head. It does feel like fibro spreading or RSD spread.
You are correct - why did I pass out? I have no idea. I am taking the same drugs I always take and felt fine before I came into the kitchen and fell.
Thanks for your support as always.
I'll keep you posted on my progress. My hands are killling me now from all this typing.

Heart Just wondering...

Did you pass out from the amount of pain you were in? Or wasn't the pain any higher than usual? I have passed out from the pain before, and I often feel faint from the amount of pain.

I thought if this was your case you would have stated that, but I just thought I'd ask. I hope you are doing okay, and that the ER will be able to treat you. It does sound like you are in need of an xray and MRI if the falling caused this pain, even though it *might* be the RSD or fibro it would be a good thing to get it checked out.

Sending soft hugs your way!

Default No - I didn't pass out from pain

In His Hands,
I just passed out twice for no reason. Actually, at the time I wasn't in that much pain. My pain level hasn't been too bad the past few weeks.
No idea why I passed out. I am taking the same meds, etc. no changes.
Thanks for your concern.

If you're near a drug store or grocery store with those free blood pressure machines, I'd suggest checking your blood pressure. RSD sometimes causes low blood pressure ("hypotension") which in turn causes random fainting. Which causes injury. Are any of the meds you are on specifically for treating blood pressure? Or are any of the meds' known side effects related to blood pressure? These are some things that you could check out on your own while you are waiting (endlessly!) to be seen by a doctor.
