I am so sorry you are in this position. I cant offer you much or any advice. Im reletivly new to all this.
Afew things pop into my mind such as mirror box thereapy. The idea is to retrain your brain. If you look at the noi website there are instructions and videos. It helped me a little but im not doing it often enough. Otherwise hydrotherapy has been wonderful for me and also hyperbaric therapy has alsobeen recomended. I knowthese are not drugs, but perhaps there are things to help relieve things a bit. I hope this dosnt make you want to throw things a me. lol. they are just suggestions that are in a different line to what you are asking. I also have issues with medications, foos and alergies. I really hope there is something out there for you. I really do feel your pain. Hugs! |

I can't think of too much other than what you have mentioned.
Have you tried a lidocaine cream (can't remember if you have one or not)? It doesn't help me a lot but when things are pretty bad it can help take the edge off in areas like my hands where it's hard to put a patch. And I think we all understand that sometimes even a little relief can make the difference between something being tolerable or not. Someone also mentioned in another thread about acupuncture. I haven't done it myself and sort of dismissed it because most of what I heard was that the relief was very short lived and not worth it...but a couple of people posted different experiences so it might be worth a shot if you don't have other options that you are able to try. I'm very sorry things are so difficult for you right now. I hope they turn around for you soon. Take care. |

![]() I have not tried acupuncture because I heard the same things you did. I also understand that a needle stick can cause the RSD to spread and well, there are a lot of needles there. I know they are tiny, but they are still needles and I already have venipuncture RSD in my left arm. I am so frustrated now! Last night was another sleepless night, the second one this week. I am so tired...and so tired of this pain! Thanks again ![]() |
