Have you tried a lidocaine cream (can't remember if you have one or not)? It doesn't help me a lot but when things are pretty bad it can help take the edge off in areas like my hands where it's hard to put a patch. And I think we all understand that sometimes even a little relief can make the difference between something being tolerable or not.

Someone also mentioned in another thread about acupuncture. I haven't done it myself and sort of dismissed it because most of what I heard was that the relief was very short lived and not worth it...but a couple of people posted different experiences so it might be worth a shot if you don't have other options that you are able to try.

I'm very sorry things are so difficult for you right now. I hope they turn around for you soon. Take care.
Hi catra! Thanks for the suggestions. I have not specifically tried lidocaine cream, but have tried compounded creams that contained it and some that didn't. I have also tried lidoderm patches and they do nothing for me...it's like wearing a bandaid

I have not tried acupuncture because I heard the same things you did. I also understand that a needle stick can cause the RSD to spread and well, there are a lot of needles there. I know they are tiny, but they are still needles and I already have venipuncture RSD in my left arm.

I am so frustrated now! Last night was another sleepless night, the second one this week. I am so tired...and so tired of this pain!

Thanks again
