I recently went through a series of MRI's.
These new doctors are telling me that I don't have RSD but a fluid buildup on my spine that has been causing RSD like pain since 1998!! They say they will cut me open and drain the fluid and place a tube in my spine to drain the fluid into my abdomidable cavity to prevent pain in the future. They say this could stop the pain that has destroyed my life since 1998!! I wonder how many RSD/CRPS people may have the same problem?? |

I sincerely hope that the proceedure works for you. Make sure you get that second opinion or third before surgery. That is just to be on the safe side. I hope your RSD goes away. ginnie

I really Hope that solves it for you! Unfortunately most of us have different injuries that have caused our conditions that have nothing to do with our spine, although it would be interesting to see how many people might be. Mine was caused by two different people disregarding protocol during a stupid venipuncture. I sincerely hope your will go away and you will never again have to deal with this hell!

The absolute worst part about this demon is what it does to our spouse and kids.....I can deal with this pain IF I'm allowed to do as much work as I want. I know that is very little but what the HELL am I suppose to do! I tried to get the wife to help my daughter with her diet and all hell broke lose last night.....she is the only breadwinner and I sit around a lot wishing I were dead. They are very over weight and I don't think I can tell my daughter to get on a diet if I'm at a normal weight. I don't know why I'm telling you guys this....its just coming out. Sorry. |

I sure hope that fixes the problem for you. Sounds scary, but if they can perform the procedure and alleviate your pain that would be wonderful for you.
I have CRPS from a L5S1 injury in my lumbar spine, among other injuries. I have had at least 5 MRIs sincethen where they did not find any unnecessary fluid (all the MRIs were prior to my baclofen pump install). I hope for you that everything goes well with the procedure. I'm sure your spirits have been lifted at the prospect of being rid of RSD/CRPS.
