and the pain starts shooting through and making me cry (like tonight) will it work anymore?
I feel like such a burden to my husband. I feel like he doesn't want to hear me grunt/groan/moan/suck in my breath, etc... I am just having a moment of whoa is me - hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow. I've taken two vicodins, still have moments of crying pain.Sleep will suck tonight.

Me, too, ((((((Christine)))))),
I hope each tomorrow finds you in less pain. I don't have RSD. My pain is from fibromyalgia and neuropathy caused by a blood condition. My experience with Cymbalta (I was only on it for 6 months during a clinical trial) and Effexor XR (which is chemically the same as Cymbalta and which I take now) is that you shouldn't be getting the "wearing off" effect. Have you talked with your doctor(s) about spreading the dosage out through the day so that you get better coverage. Or maybe taking them at a different time of day so that you're covered during the hardest part of the day. My worst pain is in the morning, 'cause I also have arthritis in my back and a compressed spinal cord in my neck -- so, I find that the Effexor XR works better for me if I take it all in the morning. You might want to talk to your doctor(s) about some tweaking of your drugs. Hugs (and a wish for a pain-free day). Barb PS: Oh, I doubt very much that your husband thinks that you're a burden. You're just going through the 'worse' part of the 'for better or for worse'. When you get your balance back, you will be able to give back to him. That's what a good marriage is: giving and taking, sharing and caring, and allowing someone else to help you when you need a hand up. |

Been there done that. I feel as if my husband has no sympathy for this what so ever, my life has completely changed, but don't forget so has his. As if he even has a clue as to what this does to you. I have days where I cry all the time, feeling sorry for myself, which isn't good. I need to learn to accept what has happened, I am haveing a hard time doing that. That is why I am here, hoping people here can help me do this.
