Thank you Sirena, Bram, and SloRain for your inquiries. I had some really good weeks after my HBOT dives. I wish I could leave it at that except it is complicated. I went in to my Neuro for a 3 month visit. We decided to proceed with the Botox injections like I have been getting due to severe spasticity. It was about 24 injections into the tendons. Darrell and I attribute my latest flare to these injections. My pain levels run typically at about a 5-6 with intermittent spikes, which is still an overall improvement from before I went diving. The redness and burning are back with a vengeance. The cramping continues all over my body including in my neck chin throat and tongue. I plan to get some follow up dives in February or March. Then I'll stay away from the needles. Despite this latest flare, I do believe the HBOT was an affective treatment for me for CRPS Type II.

Good to hear from you and I'm glad your improvements from the dives continued....but I'm so sorry the injection have caused problems. Sounds like you have a great plan though, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can find more improvements with the next round of dives.
Take care and let us know how things go. Bram.

SO good to hear of the improvements!!! Any improvement is a good thing!
Please keep us informed - this is one of those treatments like Calmare that are less well-known but have worked very well for some people, and I think we need to have that info available for people to see and make up their own minds about. Thanks for sharing with us! |
