Thumbs up It Finally Happened!!!!!!

After waiting a year and having a really good attorney, yesterday in the mail...ready??? hang on now.... I got my DISABILITY!!!! YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

In big letters it said "Fully Favorable". I am so relieved. Finally. After all this time, something (I'm not sure if it's good or not) has come my way. I was so looking forward to going back to work for a couple of hours a week after my disability was approved but they have deemed me unable to work at 100 percent.

I now have to wait for another letter from Social Security telling me what my benefits will be. I hope they will be enough to survive on each month, but I won't hold my breath. Anyway, just wanted to share my news with you all!!!

Chin Up!! Mark P.S. Happy Mother's Day!!!

Hello: I posted a message above and somehow the words got sent to outer space and the only thing that appeared was one smiley.

Anyway, congratulations. I am so happy for you!!! When is your virtual party?

Regards, Lil

Yea....good for you. I was approved after my last surgery. It was the first time application, and it took less than 6 weeks to get it. The great news is that they will send you back pay. i was found to be disable in dec, and I didn't apply untill Sept. In Novemeber I received my back benefits. You do have to be disable for 5 monhts that they will not pay you for. You checks will be sent depending on your last name. As mine is a "M" I get mine on the 3 wed of every month. they are only paid out on Weds..It not a lot, but it sure helps. I'm happy for you
