I developed right hand RSD from shoulder surgery this past May'13.
Four fingers on that hand have become severely arthritic since then. My fingers also are not straight-they all bend out to the right. Has anyone experienced this phenomenon? Truly appreciate this site... |

Are they showing arthritis per x rays?
Spasms & dystonia can happen with RSD and that can cause twisted feet, hands, legs etc in some cases.. [Dystonia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dystonia Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder, in which sustained muscle contractions cause twisting and repetitive movements or abnormal postures.]

My fingers on my right rsd hand turned towards the right shortly before I was diagnosed with rsd. With pt and nerve blocks they straightend a little but are still not completely straight and I still can't bend my fingers all the way. Now after two years they are starting to atrophy and my right hand looks smaller than my left. I also have arthritis that's gotten worse too, but I would get xrays too if I were you. I hope you go into remission and feel better soon.
