Default Turkey Day

I love Thanksgiving! It's my favorite holiday. Does anyone have any special plans. I will probably have my son and his girlfriend over for turkey dinner. My husband cooks the bird and I cook all the side dishes. I love stuffing (no pun intended) my face with turkey and all the fixings and watching football on tv. It's just a few weeks away. So happy that it's nearing.

Sounds like you have some good plans Renee. We usually alternate years, either go to see my family (2 1/2 hours away) or see my in-laws. This year, I will be hanging at home since I am having a procedure on that Monday before. Not sure what to expect from it (bladder cystoscopy - hydro distention & biopsies) so I am not making plans.

Thanksgiving used to be my favorite holiday...looooove turkey and all the fixins. Now I have so many allergies, I don't get to enjoy it as much. I have found some decent alternatives though and make do

Heart Pumpkin everything and cranberries galore!! mmm mm

So glad you have some good things in the near future to look forward to!

I really enjoy Thanksgiving too...haha for different reasons than most I love it most because it is usually my "week long vacation" my husband, his brother and a few friends leave at 3AM the morning after Thanksgiving for a whole week YIPPEE no chores, no messes, no 4AM alarm clock.. and I am totally happy living on coffee and PB & J (heck I might even splurge and have some ice cream.. the whole container all to myself NO SHARING happy happy joy joy! Yes, I'm actually dancing

Can't wait.. movies are already on order (after Football of course) and my cozy blankets are sitting next to the couch just waiting for me to wrap myself in them and hibernate for a while.

Before CRPS I would spend the week skiing 'till my legs fell off.. just texted the owner of our local hill to see if I could get a discount ticket for 1 run.. I am so tempted if I could just figure out how to keep the cold air from my legs. I know I could push through the pain long enough for 1 epic run! My doctor actually told me the other day that he has 2 patients that ski with CRPS, he did say neither of them had it in there legs or such an aggressive form but he knew it gave me hope We actually ski the same mountain so he 'gets' my passion. The pain I have every second of every day so if I can conquer the pain from the cold wind there is a small possibility of this someday...

Sorry for the side track.. got lost just pondering

Have so much fun Renee.. and snaps some pics to share we would love to see you with your family! PS., what happened to your cute dog picture?

Thanks Tessa. I hope you can go skiing again someday. I am working on changing my picture. I just need some help from my son with it when he comes home again from college. The dog on the picture is my dog Sarah. She is a cutie and a sweetheart. I like your picture too with you dog. She or He is very cute!

Default Jumping in your thread with my SFN plans :)

Sounds like u have some nice plans for the Holiday

In Georgia we have dressing instead of stuffing....lol......we usually have Thanksgiving at my house and then Christmas Eve at my brother's house (7 miles away) but with my SFN being a guest this year my sweet sister in law and brother offered to have it at their house. And she told me not to bring a thing. (we usually split making the food for everyone) My immediate family consists of 16 and my sister in law invited some of her cousins this year.

I'm excited and a little worried about going. I've only been dealing with this for about 6 months but we didn't have a major Holiday in that time. But I AM GOING and I'm going to have good time !

Hoping everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving in any way they chose to celebrate !

Thanks for the thread

Debi from Georgia
