I just now noticed my upper arm and shoulder are red and all swollen from my 3rd. ganglion block!!! I called my P.D. and he said this is normal, as the blocks are helping now. I am still numb!!! I then said, to him;" I need my Neuronti upped"!! he was so nice!!(I almost fell off the floor).. LOL he said, call me in the morning, and I will call your prescription in and up it!! Yea!! you guys gave me the courage to do this, for that, I THANK YOU!! Love, Desi

Glad you've got the neurontin upped, just one word of advice; I'm one of the people who finds a low dosage much more helpful than a high one, so just remember that higher is not always better. But I know you've been on a ridiculously small dosage till now, anyway, so more is good from where you are now.

I take 600mgs per day divided into 4 doses (Isplit the capsule and dissolve it in water). No idea why this suits me best but it does. The minute I go up to 900mgs at 300mgs x 3 I get the screaming munchies, incredible tiredness, brainfog and have no concentration at all. Strange that such a small difference in the amount makes such a huge difference in me, but that's the deal as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not for one second suggesting that my low dosage will suit you - I seem to be quite unusual in this - but I'm not the only one, I do know that. So...experiment till it works for you, just bear in mind that some people are unusually sensitive to the med but that doesn't mean it won't work for you, you may just need to find a balance. Then again, maybe it won't work for you, that happens too. Hope it does, though!

PS - Just saw your other post; no, I can't take 300mgs all at once, it knocks me out. But I can take 150mgs - this is why I take it in 4 small doses, so I don't get zapped all at once.

Thank you so much Artist!! gosh, the lower dose I was on before 100 mg. in the afternoon and 200 mg. at bedtime was not enough.. I found that the 100 mg. wore off way too soon. I am hoping this dose will be enough,(300 mg twice a day)I shouldn't complain, though because it does help) it just makes me so tired!! thanks again! Love, Desi

We crossed posts, I was adding my PS while you were replying LOL. Yeah I can't handle 300mgs all at once. They only make it in 100 and 300mg capsules. 100 did nothing to me, so I discussed it with my clinic doctor, he looked it up and said that it's water soluble, so open the capsule, dissolve it and take the dose in 2 halves, evenly spaced. So I now take 150mg x 4 per day. Bit unorthodox, but whatever it takes!

You, however, will probably find the zonk effect wearing off in a while, but it takes getting used to - I'm told. If it doesn't, though, I'm just letting you know that there are other ways of tailoring the dosage to suit you.
