Well guys Merry Christmas even if it is a day late. I went into the hospital on the 23rd and had my newest little man. They did have to do an emergency C section because the little stinker was breeched. I took the paperwork with me about CRPS and repeatedly told them to make sure I had a very dense spinal and was given vit c while I was in the hospital. They did a block that lasted 3 hrs, and no vit c. Now I am scared of having spread from this. I did start back on the vit c as soon as I got home yesterday and am taking my pain med but still hurting a ton. I am able to take care of both boys with help. I just wish they had gotten the info about my CRPS from my Dr and my records and they didn't even bother. I am trying to stay active and not just lay around but man this incision hurts like a booger. My mother is still here and my husband will be here till January 7th. Hope this stops hurting by then. I am really happy to be home but wish I could have done something to keep this little man from being breech and having a c section. Any thoughts on what to do to decrease the chance of spread and get this to heal would be great.

Congratulations!!!!
![]() I'm sorry the hospital didn't listen about your concerns, but hopefully it won't mean your CRPS spreads there. I had a caesarean with my second, long before CRPS, and I was zonked out on morphine for three days after, and hefty painkillers for a week after that, so try not to panic that it's still really painful. It's a major abdominal surgery and I was kept in hospital for a week after mine as a matter of course, so if you're already home, take it really careful for now and just try to cause yourself as little pain as possible. Well done on the Vitamin C, and take it easy on yourself. Bending, picking up heavy things and twisting movements are definitely not a good plan for at least two weeks - I think it's still 6 weeks before we are allowed to drive here in the uk after a Caesar as well! Well done mum lol! Bram.

Congratulation on the birth of your son!!! I agree (as usual) with everything Bram said. It is abdominal surgery and you must have lots of bedrest. Let people help you! Your job is to make sure you and the baby eat and stay clean. Everything else can either wait, or be done by someone else. Honestly I would use this as an "excuse" to spend lots of quiet time snuggling your newborn. You don't get those precious moments to do over. Yes,it is normal for the incision to be very sore, but it should be feeling better each day not getting worse. If the incision becomes increasingly painful or increasingly reddened call the doctor right away. Best wishes to you and your family!

My husband starts paternity leave today so I will have him here to help with our 2 yr old and the house. So then I can concentrate on getting better. I just really hurt right now. Nothing is helping either. I need to take me and little one to the Dr's today too

Try to take things slow Allanira. You've been through alot being pregnant with rsd. Give yourself some time to heal and thenonce your on your meds again on a regular basis, I'm sure you'll feel better. Maybe see your dr just to confirm. In the meantime, enjoy your little bundle of joy. Congrats again!

Congratulations on your new BABY BOY! What's he weigh?
Sorry, the hospital didn't pay closer attention ![]() Vitamin C is all I know. Please don't overdo it & take care od incision. Are you going to nurse & is that considered too much stress on your body? You'll be so busy but an update will be nice. ![]()

Thanks for the congrats on my new lo. I am trying to take it easy but its not easy when I'm soused to mmoving around a lot. I am pumping as much as I can somwe have a stockpile for when I start treatment again. I did go a little over yesterday and am now paying the price. I learned my lesson though. My husband is on paternity leave till Jan 7 so he can chase our oldest boy for me. I am taking 2000 mg Vit C a day, plus my norco, colace and prenates. I also am using a heating pad a couple times a day to help with the pain. Wish I could sit in the bath but can't because of the incision and the chance of g an infection. I need to set up my first appt with the pm so I can start. My lo is doing great even if im not lol.
