Default OMG...what a flare!

Hey guys!

Well in all my years with RSD/CRPS, this is the first time that I spent most of the day in bed. I am usually up and in the recliner majority of the day because laying down is not that comfortable, but not today. It hurts to sit, even in the recliner with my legs up. I fear that my RSD is spreading from my left leg over to the right one. This pain is something else. I know this weather doesn't help...it is freezing and snowing outside.

My incisions were all looking so much better and drying up. Now the front one is all red, itching again and hurting. Man, I am so over this...all of it! It has definitely been a rough road lately. Thanks for listening...

Nanc

Hey Nanc! I'm so with you right now. My everything is raging! I feel like my body is a torture chamber. I can barely type, or anything else so I'll keep it short. Just a quick note to say... you're not alone hon, and I so get it. I hope you feel better soon.

Nanc, Vrae, Bram, Zoo,

My heart goes out to ALL of you!! I spent 3 yrs. in Michigan & the cold was so painful & that was before the CRPS monster got me.

Cold water or just being outside with a bare arm below 60 degrees makes it turn purple.

Wishing some warmer temps. and better times for all of you. I know what it feels like when you just want to be over ALL this & there is no "over it".
Hang in there & I'll send you some virtual sunshine

Oh no so many of us dealing with CRPS-squared at the moment...

Nanc, Vrae and Zook and anyone else coping with a flare at the moment: hang in there. It will ease off eventually. I have to keep telling myself that

Oh it's just so hard to find any positive thinking when you are just pain. When even being still hurts, but moving about hurts more. Rock and hard place, over and over again.

Damn tooting pile of crud. Come on you researchers and drug companies and doctors - find a blinkin cure/effective treatment for us poor fleckers out here living with this thing every single day of our lives... We deserve a break!

I have a challenge for us - to find a smile today, and share it with the rest of us I could do with a really good belly laugh, but suspect that might be a little harder!

Take care of yourselves everyone, and do the R&R thing

Bram.

Hope you guys are doing better today. My hip and leg pain has eased up, thank goodness. But other places are not letting me forget about them...like I would be able to. My front incision is breaking out and really itching again and I don't know why...I haven't put anything on it. It hurts too. I woke this morning with a migraine, it has eased up now.

Bram - my husband says that his job is to make me smile or laugh everyday. And no matter how bad I feel, he succeeds. When I crack that smile or laugh, he says "I have done my job for the day!" I am lucky to have him!

I just read something on Facebook that a friend posted...she said that an older lady told her that when she was young, the kids used to say - be true to your teeth or one day they will be false to you...I chuckled! Maybe it will give you a smile

Hugs to all,
Nanc

Nanc.........

Very good!! Thank you.

My chuckles came when I had a very short game of table tennis with my husband....I was playing so badly lol, and he just kept taking the mick out of me until I could hardly stand for giggling. Bless him, and bless the table tennis set we bought for less than a fiver I've had more laughs from that than for a long long time....

Hope your day is better.

Bram.

Ladies,

I'm sorry you are all having such a rough time. I hope you are all feeling at least a wee bit better soon.

My smile for the day
We have an older dog. I recently bought a set of steps to help her get onto and off the sofa without having to jump. We set them up this weekend. She was a bit suspicious at first but she is greedy, so we got over that easily enough. Well, we have two sofas. She went over to the one my husband was sitting on and pawed at it. She then went over to the steps, which were sitting next to the other sofa, and pawed at the steps. Then she went back to the first sofa, the one she wanted to sit on and pawed that again. She finished off by giving my husband a look (demand stare, maybe?). I don't think she could have been more clear about what she wanted. She is just so adorable and I love her to bits! She always makes me smile.

Bram - glad you were able to play with your husband (hmmm...sounds dirty) and have a good laugh.

Kim - great dog story, thanks for sharing! We do not have any pets, but my parents have this cute morkie (maltese and yorkie mix) named Molly. She lets you know what she wants too. She is trained to use those puppy pads and when she does number 2, she demands a treat. She will come into the room and moonwalk...she kicks her feet back and walks backwards and then looks at you like "where's my treat?" If you ignore her, she does it again! So funny!

I think I spoke too soon...legs are really bothering me again And the nausea...ugh!

Good thing is that my husband is home today, snow day. So that has been nice
