Gabapentin (Neurontin) is not an anti-inflammatory drug. There must be some other reason they want you off of it. I'd certainly verify what that reason is before going through the weaning process and then titrating back up after the test.

I agree with the others though that it does have a number of gastrointestinal side effects. I've been on Gabapentin for 6 years and I'm nauseated right now as I write this message!

It has its issues, but the drug really has been a godsend for me.

I called today and was told to keep taking Neurontin. Ya for now. I am ready to find out what is going on. Thanks again to all. Vrae you saved me a call to my neurologist.
