I'm so sorry you have to get gallbladder surgery done too. Tell your dr to research RSD so that they are extra careful with you and also ask if they can do laproscopic surgery. It's less invasive which means to me less chance of rsd spread. And don't take Advil or advil like products. And try to rest as much as possible prior to surgery. I learned that helps from my past surgeries. I know it sucks to have more pain on top of rsd pain, but if you get laproscopic surgery, it's not as bad. I had laproscopic surgery for my hysterectomy. It was painful but not as painful as regular surgery. And try to hang in there. I know it gets tiring to stay positive when you are in pain all the time, but I've heard from others like Bram and Heidi that they felt better after their gallbladder was out. I've heard that it also makes the rsd calm down a little. And you can go back to eating what you want again. I miss bacon and can't wait to eat it again.lol. So hang in there and I'll keep you updated on my surgery. It's this monday at 6:15 in the morning. UGH. I will pray for you. Let me know how you are doing if you don't mind. Take care my friend.

Jesika & Renee, I hope all goes well with your surgeries. They normally do laparoscopic unless there are issues or complications. So, you will both more than likely have your gallbladder removed laparoscopically. I had mine removed that way back in 2008 and it was no problem at all. Definitely a quicker recovery than the old-fashioned way!! I agree that you will feel so much better after that gallbladder is gone, I know I did!!!
Wishing you both the best!! Nanc ![]() |

Hi again Eev, I will be praying for you and hope that your surgery goes smoothly and that you feel better soon. I'm always here if you need a friend to talk too. I am so grateful to have all of you as friends and hope you know that I care too. Take care, get some rest and remember no Advil for advil like products (approx. 10 days prior to surgery) and fast from midnight the day before surgery. The dr will let you know all the details. Take care my friend. With love, Renee.

Thanks for caring Nanc. I'm sorry you had to get surgery too, but am glad you feel better now and that it wasn't too invasive. I hope there are no complications with mine. The dr said he may run into scar tissue from my last two surgeries that may cause him to do more invasive surgery, but thinks the chances of that are slim and that laproscopic will most certainly be done. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope you're doing okay and thanks again for caring. With love, Renee.

Definitely hope you both can have this done laparoscopically, that would be great!! I mistakenly said I had mine out in 2008, actually it was 2002. In 2008, I had exploratory abdominal surgery (also done laparoscopic). I had adhesions and scar tissue removed in my abdomen and I had appendicitis so they did an appendectomy. Both procedures weren't bad at all.
I had that scar tissue and adhesions built up from two prior laparoscopies (for female issues) and ended up having a hysterectomy in 1996. But that was not done by laparoscope because they took everything!! Best of luck to both of you!! Nanc ![]() |
