Okay... and so we moved into Spring this afternoon.
![]() Nanc ~ I think we ended up with 5" or 6" today. Fun Fact: We have more days of sunshine per year than Florida. Hard to believe hu? We sure don't have FL temps though. I'm coming back after awhile to the group.. just wanted to drop in to show you our manic weather ![]()

It looks like you ladies can go out and have a good snowball fight. Then again it would be hard to throw a snowball a mile high and hit Vraes house wouldn't it? But Vrae is right it's spring-----let's do it ! Down here in VA it's time to mow the lawn ) : nice and sunny but I kinda use the blinds also but it still is nice. Thanks for the pretty thought Vrae. Sorry about the snow though for the ones that have it. It's hard on the birds too. Smiles, hugs, and rsd love to all.............

I hope you are wrong about that temp for tomorrow Nanc.
If it is above 80 I will be inside all day. I keep it around 69 to 70 and sometimes my body is still to hot. It's not the sun, it is the heat. Oh well, hope you are doing better this evening Nanc and your day went well. |

I am so trying to hang on for summer but wow guys.. ugh more snow? Really? They have talked about a FOOT in Estes Park.. A FOOT! <sigh> My husband just planted our garden and I just planted a few flowers. I really thought we were all done. A winter storm watch! What?! No wonder I hurt. We were at 80 degrees last weekend and now this.
![]() http://www.thedenverchannel.com/weat...orado-forecast DENVER - Strong system will move through the state this weekend and into early next week. A winter storm watch is effective for north-central Colorado for areas of heavy snowfall. This watch does include the greater metro area. The leading edge of the system is moving into the state now. Areas of showers and strong winds around in a few areas. Tonight, the state will still have a few showers around. Wind gusts will be strongest in the high country and the western slope. Denver will have a partly cloudy sky and temperatures down to about 40 or so with an occasional shower nearby. The weekend will start off much more calm than it will finish. Saturday will be the better outdoor day, however the high country will start to see snow become much heavier by later in the day. And, Denver to the plains may see a later day thundershower too. Otherwise, a partly to mostly cloudy sky with temperatures in the 60s expected for the Front Range/Plains and Western Slope. 40s in the Mountains. It's Sunday when we will all feel and see big change. Rain showers become widespread on the plains, these changing to snow based on elevation. It looks like 5,000 feet and higher will changeover to snow at some point Sunday. Yes, that includes the Denver metro area. This snow will be heaviest in the mountains where 1 to 2 feet will fall on the western facing mountain sides. 6 to 12 inches expected for the foothills, including some of the Palmer Divide. The Denver area snow amount is subject to how much rain falls before changing to snow. Plus, how much snow melts with the warm ground temperatures. Regardless of how much, it will all be a heavy wet snow. This snow is typical in the spring months and will weigh heavily on plants/trees/powerlines. So, watch your spring landscape closely so you can prevent any damage. By Monday most rain will have changed to snow. That snow will end through the day and the sky will begin to clear. The worry for Monday and early Tuesday will be temperatures. Monday will stay in the 30s, and overnight lows will be below freezing. Make sure your irrigation systems are protected from that cold, and that any plant you want saved from freezing is also protected or brought indoors.
