Emily,
I sure know the feeling, I'm very self concious about my teeth. I've been through the teeth issues before & with RSD. Unfortunately Tessa is right, it would take a miracle for insurance to cover implants. I know it makes no sense b/c they'd never have to pay for issues in treating those teeth ever again right? Well, years ago (before RSD) I thought I'd done my homework well enough & decided to go get 2 implants in Mexico. WRONG! I'll share that long ordeal in another time if you're interested. I have a couple good implants now (also before RSD) but it is SURGERY involving deep jaw bone & very close to nerves. Last thing you need is to spread it to your face. It's traumatic & usually the implants have to integrate with the bone for 6 mo. +/- before they can add the abutment & tooth. Absolutely, explore getting it covered in settlement, in the meantime try to find less invasive ways to improve your smile. ![]()
