Smile Hello
Hi my name is Phaedra and I am new here. I am also new to CRPS as of 3/21/14. I just wanted to introduce my self and say hello to every one. I am sorry everyone has lost a dear friend. You all will be in my prayers as well as his family.
If anyone has any thing to offer on how to deal with this, any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I fell at work on 12/16/13. I tore ligaments in my ankle and damaged my kneecap. I ended up with bursitis in the knee along with chronic exertional compartment syndrome, and a kneecap that does not track right. I only got about 50% better and then started going down hill I felt shooting pains, extremely cold toes, and burning the first week. I am not working now, just going to therapy and taking care of the dogs and house the best I can. I was a tractor trailer driver and a bus driver. All the damage was done in my right leg. This has spread to my left leg and continuing to spread. It is what it is and I am learning to cope or deal with it.

I am sorry to hear about that, my RSD is in my left leg and is a detriment. It is hard to imagine both legs being out of commission. Just in the last couple of months mine has again ... I used to Belly Dance, horseback ride and work full time. Now I cannot dance at all unless I am very drunk and then its just a funny sway. I have seen video it is hilarious!

Welcome Phaedra but sorry you have this disease & have need of this group.
It is a WONDERFUL group with lots of advice & support!! When others just
don't "get it" we do! For me sometimes I read & think about everyone here
& post a "thanks" if nothing else. Many times I don't post very well or very long
because it's tedious typing one handed. Just so you know there's also a sub-forum
at the top of rsd/crps just for SCS discussions if that helps. Sorry you're
having such problems!
