Anyone else heard of this or tried it? Any thoughts?
Yesterday I was seen by my P.M. Dr. for routine consultation. She offered a new drug for consideration that may be longer lasting than my nerve blocks (I'm going on #25 in 1 1/2 yrs). The drug is Prialt (Ziconotide). She said she was not comfortable offering it before now b/c it was not owned by a reputable company and changed hands a few times. I guess now it is stable with a good pharmaceutical Co. Anyway, it could be as simple as a single injection into the spinal fluid. It could last approx. 6 months. I think she said it could also be offered in a pain pump?
