God bless us all, Andrea.
I have both and it isn't fun! Don't let the positive ana mess with your mind though. My ana was positive several times and it took years to get dx. Please know that a good rheumy will not dx you based on that alone. My drs. Have all told me that there is not a connection between the two.

I've had many positive tests for it over the years, but a positive test really means nothing unless you have a certain number of symptoms (I forget how many). I never had enough symptoms to meet the criteria.

I do have the symptoms and family history of RA. I was diagnosed with sero negative RA, because my RA factor comes back negative. I do meet the criteria for RA and not everyone will have a positive test.
