Default Neuropathic mouth pain spreading - drugs?

Well - my neuropathic pain in my mouth has now spread to my palate, inside of my cheeks, throat and stomach thanks to eating pepper spiced veggies. I already had burning lips, gums and tongue - now all is much worse and more intense. This all started in Jan. after ingesting liquic chloral hydrate prescribed for sleep. Unnknowingly, my husband prepared veggies with cracked pepper. I put a generous helping of flax oil on them and didn't realize they had pepper until it was too late. I am on fire now. Even my teeth are all aching. This is all part of the RSD - I am told by my RSD specialist.
Earlier I was on lyrica - 400 mg. no help with burning mouth and fibro. However, I just read on the FM forum that some people should take 600 lyrica to help with pain. Then on another forum I read where anti seizure drugs do a number on your gums and teeth. Anyone know anything about that issue? I am in so much pain everywhere from fibro and RSD. and now I can't believe this has happened. Husband did it by accident. Anyone have any thoughts about drugs or treatments for this mouth, etc. on fire. Already I have eliminated all alcohol, mint, etc. as it triggers off more neuropathic mouth pain. I am religous about what I put in my mouth as I don't want this to get any worse.
Any ideas? How about doses on lyrica? I have no side effects on 400 mg.

i am on my second bout with thrush as result of my nerve blocks. my mouth is incredibly sore - so are my gums, throat, and it actually feels like my lungs are on fire! i told my husband it was like i ingested bleach or something. it hurts to breathe. my lips are starting to chap and blister and i won't even get into the pain on my tongue.

my doc prescribed diflucan for the thrush. i took a pill tonite and i take one on thursday. if you don't have thrush i don't know what can be done for your mouth. a nurse told me to swish with peroxide, but i haven't done it because i am afraid it will burn even worse. i bought a mouthwash called "biotene" (it contains no alcohol). it actually feels like you are swishing with milk - it feels thick and it is supposedly good for dry mouths. another person told me to coat my tongue with garlic powder for as long as i can stand it and then put a little water in there and gargle. yuk.

i don't know if any of this is helpful. my sleeping pill is kicking in and i feel like i'm not making any sense.

p.s.: i don't take lyrica so i don't know anything about the doses.

good luck!
