This happened to me today. I went to get blood drawn, it hurt really bad. Later in the day, suddenly my old injury in my left foot, which originally started my RSD, started killing me with pain, then a little later, a surgery i had to remove a calcified mass from my butt, joined the foot pain & hours & hours later, the pain won't stop. Now normally I would attribute this to rain coming, but there isn't any rain in sight for days. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

My pain of the original damaged area returns whenever I fall and hit my elbow. Of course I still have part of the rod which slipped out of my shoulder and is sticking through my upper arm bone. My left arm feels like it's being shocked by sharp electricfied needles and the dull bone pain lasts for hours. It really sucks to be reminded that there's no true relief. Only the ability to mask the symptoms with meds...

Welcome Thomas ,
I must tell you, we are happy to be able to help in some way new members but sad to welcoming you for this reason rsd, Rsd can be trigger in many ways ,no only by getting hurt sensations like needles or a small hit,but also stress which is the worse trigger of all. I heard cases of people getting rsd due to a blood drawn or blood pressure , the pain gets back no matter the reason ,a trigger is always a thread to feel that awful pain again and stay their for a while. First ,try to rest and relax the best you can ,as much as possible , second make sure your dr is aware what triggers your pain and also let nurses know what arm should be use for blood drawn ,avoid anything on the affected area or limb. www.rsdsa.ord have plenty and useful tips hope, you can get some advantage and also get the most educations and know rsd so well to really understand how is work and hoe you can be able to control flares . Best wishes and good luck ,Jesika . ![]()

My neurologist uped my Gabapentin to 2700 mgs. for better control of flares and I must say they're happening less. And when they get triggered they're more managable.
***I thought I'd just throw it out there...
