Watch the Hollywood magazine shows like Extra tomorrow. They had a teaser running that said Paula Abdul confesses to RSD.

It even showed a little clip of her talking about how she got it, and a snippet of her talking about others with RSD.

Could she have finally gone public?!

Goodness, I sure hope not! The last person I want as "spokesman" for rsd/crps is HER! She sits on that judging panel, clapping in that odd way, with a drugged-out blank look on her face. If she is going to be "the one", I'm going to have to call my disease something else

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18946279/
"Abdul has been diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), a chronic neurological disorder that causes severe pain.
“I have four titanium plates in my neck. I’ve had 14 surgeries over the years. I had an operation the same evening as the first season finale of ‘American Idol,’ ” she says. “It can come and go at any time, but I no longer have the intense nerve pain that is associated with RSD, thank God.”"

Well!

There was me, being all open-minded, thinking hey, between the RSD, the RSI, arthritis and C4-C6 problems, I have a pretty odd way of clapping myself. I can't, actually, it's far too painful so I pretend clap.

So next I read Abbie's msn link, saying that she does have RSD, plus 4 metal plates in her neck, but she doesn't have the painful kind of RSD ....(??) I've read of that, though I can't imagine how they diagnose it, but anyway I digress...

Then what do I see on the net but this:
"Bravo has announced Hey Paula, a new docu-reality series that will give viewers a look at American Idol judge Paula Abdul's professional and personal life (...yada yada...)
Originally announced by Bravo in early January and placed on the network's Summer 2007 programming lineup in April, Hey Paula will follow the former Los Angeles Laker Girl and Grammy Award winner as she films the sixth installment of Idol; works on her new Bratz: The Movie project; develops her own line of perfumes and cosmetics; expands her originally-designed jewelry line; markets her clothing line; and fits personal appearances into her demanding schedule."

Yeah right, Paula, all that with RSD, and I expect you're back home to clean the house, make dins for your SO and tuck in the kids, too .

I imagine that makes all of us feel soooo much better about things, huh? Sorry, just makes me want to spit, bah!! What *is* the woman up to?

all the best!

I know what you mean Artist..
That's why I highlighted the part about RSD just coming and going at any time....

I'm not sure what to make of that comment...but my experience with this monster is that I've never had it just come and go at any time...

if she no longer has the intense nerve pain that is associated with RSD.... Does she have RSD????????? Did she ever??? Did it go into remission???? Or did it just burn it's self out one day??? PAAALEEEAAASSSSEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
