There's reports of ace inhibitors being the best tolerated med. My drs really cling to that stuff. But of course there is lots of possible side effects and they sound very taxing on the kidneys. I had the pain before I started them I think is why they are not putting two and two together to even think about switching them. Even my pm had no alarm go off when I told her what I took and even about the increase in pain and the increase in dose.
It could be coincidence and all fall in line with how warm it's been. It's unseasonably hot here. Heat makes me feel terrible. Guess just gotta find out chicken or egg. I thought I was too young for this lol
Dubious, I'm curious as to your thoughts on the ace inhibitor link.

I have a hard time with the heat too. Even a little swelling for me amplifies everything. I remembered you had been on the ACE inhibitor before and it absolutely may be coincidence that your symptoms increased after the dose change. How our CRPS reacts to meds we are on is just one of those things to consider with their use.

I had decent pain relief from nortriptyline but it makes me vasodilate like mad when it is warm which makes things worse. This probably doesn't bother most people. I ended up going down on it and doing about the same.

Don't cha just luv being special?

Hahah I feel so very special lately! They stopped my metoprolol I was taking with the losartan because my pulse was 30. BUT lol also cause they said I have rynauds and it makes it worse. Said to try amlodipine instead but they just upped the ace. I have about 40 lbs I could lose and I've been losing about 2 lbs a week and am hoping getting to my goal pre kid weight will make it so I don't need these meds. But dr doubts it.
Right now I have nothing that gives me pain relief. The gabapentin doesn't work so well anymore. I'm just gonna bet the bank on these injections! Lol this sucks! Of all the things i could have happen with my hand from repetative motion (if that's what this truly is) why did it have to be this? OH YEAH! It's cause I'm super special hahahahah

You ARE super special . FYI, amlodipine is usually well tolerated if you have to switch stuff around. Congrats on the weight loss! That is a real challenge on gabapentin. I can't imagine you wouldn't at least feel better with the weight off. even if it doesn't make it so you can get off BP meds you might be able to decrease...

I love losing weight and it is very hard on gaba. I can't cheat at all. What's funny is my Bp has been more out of control lately even with the diet. Lol either im having withdrawals still from sugar and stuff (coca cola fully leaded I miss lol) or my Bp is pain related. But there are so many benefits to weight loss that I don't care if I still have to take the meds....it's just giving myself something to feel awesome about and I need that! I mean being so special is pretty awesome too lol
