So Wednesday I have my fourth nerve block. I had relief for two days from the first and no such luck since. I'm still waiting for mri approval and have found through ot that taping my ligaments in my wrist nice and tight helps a little.
Ot says that my ligaments are so loose or torn that the bones in my hand and wrist are overlapping and are getting stuck on each other. Pinching nerves and vessels, causing inflammation and pain. As well as blood flow problems. They believe it's the chicken and the egg in my hand and wrist. Pain management still wants to treat for crps even while we are looking i to the other. I haven't been online much cause typing sucks. And to be honest I'm a little down and sick of it all. Just wanted to pop in and update incase anyone was wondering. Question: this last shot caused naseau and it's been almost a week and hasn't let up. Anyone had a persistant vaso vagal response after an injection? |

Hi Jennijojo,
Good to hear from you. I am so sorry to hear that repeat blocks didn't bring relief. Keep pushing on the MRI, I am so hoping it gives you some answers. I think still treating the CRPS throughout is the right thing to do. Even in cases with complete removal of the pain contributor it is important to still treat the nervous system, keep things calm and keep up the gentle motion until things settle. I am glad the taping is helping. It sounds like your OT is on board with realizing something is wrong in there and in need of attention. Keep hanging on! I know how hard it can be when you just hit the point of being exhausted. After my third operation I really got close to giving up and had to make a conscious decision to get through every day. It's really difficult when you are waiting for information and not sure what direction treatment is going to go but you will get through this. Go out and love on the horse, hug the kids, watch a sunset, have a nice cup of tea with cookies...be kind to yourself and have a cry if you need one. Sending hugs and Healing Love, ![]()

We had heard such great things about the injections, we were so hopeful too! I hope you have better luck with your 4th, after 3 my husband rejected any further because he had no relief after the procedure. The only relief he got was because of the anesthesia during the procedure, which of course he doesn't remember. But I do, vividly. Those 3 times are the only times in the past 2 years that I heard him laughing like his old self. I wish I could bottle those moments, they were so great.

![]() I was thinking about saying no to this one on Wednesday but the little voice in the back of my head says maybe it will work. I've been having one a week, but yeah no more after this next one. I wonder is there anything else? Do they have any more tricks up their sleeves or is this how it's gonna be always? I will still have hope my ot is right and if they find the problem in my hand maybe then I cAn get better? |

Had my fourth block today. There was a different dr filling in. He got a slightly different spot on my neck (and boy is it sore) and used a little more anesthetic. I have to say so far today the furthest I've gotten on the pain scale is a 2 or 3. I'm really testing my hand right now using my phone turned sideways to type. And it's not the usual 6 or 7. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed (no pun intended 😂
