Default Surgery and Blocks

I am seeing my surgeon this afternoon to discuss my Friday procedure. I am giong to talk with him about the 900 mg Gabapentin and 100 mg Minocycline.

What type of block or regional Anesthesia is recommended for foot (prodecure is to remove pin staple mid foot, then bone spur big toe). The current plan is Local with IV Sedation but I want to ask about regional if on the off chance what I do have is RSD to avoid spread.

Thank you all for your support and recommendations. It has definitely increased my confidence in having the procedure.
