Default Surgery update

My surgery yesterday went well. I am feeling a little sore but overall pretty good. I see doc on Monday for first check up. Thanks for all well wishes.

Sorry about your pain. Usually a couple of days later is worse than the next day. Be kind to yourself and give your body what it needs to heal. That includes a calm mind. Trying is easier said thasn done....but e give you permission

Hi GoBlue,

Acute surgical pain is the worst in the first four days, or so I have been told. I don't remember your med situation. What did they give you for pain? Did they send you out on any neurontin or minocycline for neuro protection?

Be sure you are staying on top of scheduled pain meds and not allowing yourself to have breakthrough. No need to tough it out. Elevation is important as you know. And although ice is not good for CRPS, cooling is good for swelling and ice will not get through your ACE wrap to cause damage. You have insulation, place cool packs on it and keep it up.

sending hugs and healing love,
