I'd have to know more about the way it works... but it "looks" like a tens unit to me... just different packaging.

i watched the video and the professional's video and find this quite interesting. it states right in the professional's video that it is for relief of rsd pain. i am wondering how new this is?

watching the videos again, i see it was originally released in 1988 and now the new model 2002. it is a combined tens and ems. pricey at $699. anyone here ever have it refered to them, or tried it? anyone hear of it from a pain clinic? i always wonder, if something really works, why does no one know of it? hmmmmm? also wondeing if it would be covered by insurance? joan

I so agree, Joan! You're asking the questions we should ALL ask whenever something new comes around that claims to offer us help. But sometimes we don't, we just grasp at straws and buy whatever. Not too surprising, since this kind of pain will drive anyone to desperate acts.

I always have to wonder what price people pay, in terms of their soul, for making money off desperate folks who just want to get better and live a reasonably "normal" life. It can't be a good one, needless to say.

I'm NOT saying this particular product is a scam, I have no clue. I just always worry when I hear about some new product with such claims... especially when it turns out to be an older device that hasn't managed to become well known in our circles. If WE don't know about it (either the 1998 OR 2002 versions) by now, I wouldn't trust it enough to spend my hard earned money.

I watched the video's and with me, I am always skeptical when something like this comes out. After buying things for so many years that turn out not to be what they say they are I think that did it for me.

My thought would be if any medical places carry this device or if it is only sold on line or by salesmen.

To me, it reminds me of a tens unit and I love my tens units I had and used them forever. The insurance paid for them. I would wonder if an insurance would pay for this. That is an awlfully high price to lay out of your own pocket.

It makes me think of all of those magnetic devices that they say help people. I tried the bracelet and it made me worse and I heard that from others around here. They sell mattresses, pillows, necklaces, you name it and are very expensive.

When people are ill like we are and desperate for good relief we really have to be careful about getting sucked into these kind of things.

Another thing I would want to know if there are ANY Drs. in the area you live in that have ever heard of this device or has used if for a patient.

The tens unit was given to me by my Thoracic Dr. the day of my surgery. I was hooked up to it when I woke up. He didn't care if insurance paid for it or not, he just knew it would help with the pain I would be in from the surgery. He later got me a second one for my other side. I see a lot of people on other forums using one and around here. That's why I would want to know if this has been used by anyone in the area you live in.

I would try to go somewhere and try it before buying it.
Have you tried a TENS or any other electrical stimulator?

interesting .. a forum wide search and no matches. thanks for doing that. that is telling. i also wondered if insurances would cover such a thing. i am betting no! i would try it in a therapy session but i would not, and could not, afford to buy it outright not knowing if it even works ... so sad that people are always claiming to have the magic pill .... joan
