This is just tooo weird. I am a speech therapist and I was working with an adult using an electo-larynx. So I tried it on myself just to get a better idea how it works- My entire Larynx starting hurting as soon as I stopped using it- I am soo freaked out that I spread the RSD into my throat!! I am just so upset- today is the second day and I thought for sure I would feel better but it is the same! Feels like I have a sore throat but I don't--- What do you guys think?

Debbie, I am so sorry this is going on... I agree with Desi, get it checked out a.s.a.p.

Events like this are what makes rsd/crps so difficult to deal with. You can aggravate it so easily, with one spastic move or one thoughtless act! I have done the same to myself recently, Deb... I tried a different tens unit than the one I used to have, something called a "microtens". It was a low-voltage one that had such a light touch to it that it set off the rsd/crps really badly in both legs. I am still feeling the difference a week later. I get more leg jerks, more spasms, more creepy-crawly feelings. Yuckos.

You need to get it checked out, for sure. Best of luck, keep us posted!

Thanks for your responses- Right now I dont have a PM doctor and frankly if I did what could he possibly do? I hate the RSD- you have to worry about every little thing!
I think I just have to wait it out...If I did cause it to spread I dont believe there is anything anyone could do
