Oh gosh, Sue, you had me really laughing so hard about falling asleep.. then bumping your head on the keys.. bump when ya woke up!! HA HA..ya still a sence of humor there, Lady!! your fun!Oh my yes, sue I was so very exhausted just getting ready for the reception.. to top it off my husband, Bill was telling me to hurry!! my butt.. the weiner ;0) LOL You had me crackin up also about those that don't have RDS, cry most likely if they even get a hang nail!! LOL I will lay low of unsupporting people, my sister too.. if I have to. your right, I don't need this kind of understanding. And when you do try to understand them or tell them a little tad bit about this RSD.. it's like you can see their expression.. like I'm making it up, or I'm nuts, like I wrote in my post. oh well.. their problem.. not mine, eh? LOL :0) I do hope that you feel better soon too, Sue!! Love ya! love, Desi <3

Hi Jeannie! "crushed spirit" is soooooooooo what I received from my sister and a few "other family members, my neice, 2 BIL I come from a large family, and everyone is doing their "THING".. but if the chips are down, they will be here for me!! I hope. I know I was and will ALWAYS be there for them!! Thanks for saying that naps are a must as it is the pain that we need naps for! Thought I was the ONLY ONE who needed them. Now, some days.. when I work around the house, I mean hard exhausting work.. I am good for 10 naps a day.. might even be in bed all day, except to take a shower or a nice epsom salt bath, eat, get in jammies and plop this body in bed and watch t.v. and fall asleep when the first commercial comes on. I wanted to watch this good movie called Little Darlin's (one of my fav. old ones) and fell asleep when the first scene came on.. LOL Oh well, that's the breaks huh.. LOL Love ya! love, Desi

Hello Ada Dear! how are you hun?? good I hope! ya know, your right when ya talk about RSD.. it's to the point that people don't wanna hear it no more! wow!! NEVER thought of it this way until the wedding reception and you now confirming it!! Your so right, Ada!! I too am glad I went. I didn't think I would have a good time either.. this was in my mind even before the reception started.. I thought I would sit like a "wall flower' and blend in with the wallpaper.. LOL :0) But when I got there besides, the hurtful hugs unintentionally.... I had a really good time. Of course I didn't drink with this morphine in me, but the food and all around atmosphere was great!! I am slowly bouncing back.. like tigger.. don't I wish I can bounce like tigger.. LOL Love ya! Desi

Hi Desi,
Hope your feeling better. I hate that we have to "pay" for having a good time. Sometimes I think its worth it though. For a short time I feel better when I am doing something I enjoy. I love football and when there is a game on, my nephew and I have such a good time that I forget the pain for awhile.
I always have to lay down for awhile each day. I used to feel guilty about it, but not anymore.
Take care.
Sue K.

Hey Desi,

Well, naps aren't always naps - they are just an opportunity to rest and not to have to move around. I sometimes listen to music, radio, meditate, read etc but all the "nap" is, is a chance to have a break. I find I get exhausted really easily if I spend too long with other people when I have to make an effort - I mean if I am with new people and don't want to be written off as the whingey one in the corner!

(best quote of the day, "The difference between a disabled athlete and the crotchety woman curled up in the corner is simple. It's pain.)

If you start to get a daily routine with naps/ breaks in it then it does sometimes help!!

Love ya sweetie and hope you are feeling abit better today!!

Aww sweety,
I'm so proud of you for going. Now you can just sit back and try to relax. It may take you a few days to even begin to get back to where you were. I'm with you, I will sometimes take 2-3 naps a day. some are only for a few minutes, others for an hr or so. it's so rare for me to sleep the whole nite. Most times, I finally fall asleep around 3-4. Oh well...You just rest and feel better.
love and gentle hugs
mary

Hi Everyone.

It seems that it's hard to get to a point where I'm not tired. After work every night after dinner I go and assume the position on the couch until 9:00 or so. Last weekend I slept for about 4 hours each day in addition to going to bed at 9:00ish. I take a benadryl every night so that I sleep no matter how long my nap was.
