Default problem solving

Woke up this morning to a problem that was going to be a challenge, would require a lot more walking for me, which is not a good thing for my RSD foot. Before I tackled this challenge, I thought, I have a choice, I can panic and blow this out of proportion, or I can choose to see it clearly, breathe, relax, think, how can I break this down into little steps that I CAN handle. That is what I did, and it did not cause me a lot of extra pain.

Thank you RSD for teaching me how to face things as they come, think them through, problem solve, think before I act, know that I have choices, not react, keep my stress level down, seek solutions to problems, and how to take baby steps.

Thanks for being there and listening.

peace

that's an awesome way to cope with rsd. i've learned as well to live more in the moment since i was diagnosed with rsd over five years ago. it's not always easy because of the constant pain from rsd but i believe that learning to make the most of what we are dealt in this life is what keeps us going. i love your positive attitude. soft hugs to all.

I'm so glad that you are finding ways to make things a little easier so that you can still do the things that you want to do. I found that breaking things down and figuring out how to make things easier for me...no matter how small or little the changes are...that's what has made the biggest difference for me. I can't do things the same way I used to...but I can still do most of the same things. I'm so happy for you that you are learning to cope with this terrible condition and that you are still able to do the things that you love and want to do. Hugs.

Thank you Catra, you have encouraged me to give more thought to more ways I can make things easier. I will start to make a list, and make tiny changes.
