It's frustrating to have my fingers stiffen up constantly, even though I'm continually doing the exercises to stretch the tendons...stop for a minute and you would swear you had never done any stretches. It's my left hand and wrist, and I was left-handed before I broke my wrist. I knew the screw had done a lot of damage, but I was hoping that it would start getting better since the screw actually came out without having to cut or remove bone. I have absolutely no strength in that hand now. At least it's not as swollen and purple as it was before the screw was removed!

Forgive me for sounding like I'm whining. I know most of you deal with a whole lot worse with this stuff. I just felt like I could vent here. Thanks for letting me.

Desi, it's good to know there are others on here who are staying strong in Christ...supporting each other.

By the way, I live near Fresno, California. The hand specialist I'm going to is great. If anyone knows of good doctors in the area, let me know.

If you're sure you have RSD get treatment ASAP.

my strong belief of God and Christ and all the angels around me has gotten me through so many things. i do not go into it much since i do not want to push those away who have other wonderful beliefs, but i know what you mean. it does not mean that we do not take medication or take care of ourselves, it just means we are aware of that awesome Helper in our lives, and we know despite it all, we are, somehow, where we are supposed to be to do what needs to be done. joan

I'll admit, I'm still hoping they're wrong about it being RSD. But either way, I know my Lord will see me through this trial as well. I do really appreciate the information, help, and encouragement I have already received here.

Heya Phyllis

Welcome!!!

Please feel free to vent on here!! As Ada says it is important to get decent medical care for the RSD - but some people who have high pain tolerances (and support etc) don't take meds etc for the pain. However, it is hard physically and psychologically (with and without meds) to handle this level of pain every day.

Love
