I had severe post-partum incontence from my son's head compressing nerves that involve the bladder, and also shifting things around in there. It was very hard to manage emotionally but you can get big poise pads and even underwear to disguise it. It improved up to a point. Finally I told my Gyn and she evaluated it and I had surgery to fix it.

Now the methadone gives me hesitation instead! Be careful what you wish for?

Moral of the story is, talk to a urologist first. Rule out the simple (when you hear hoofbeats....) before going to the neuro (zebra). For the bowel issues, talk with a GI, they can make sure things are ok physically and help you at least with management (bowels can be trained).

Good luck!

Hi Molly. I'm sorry you have rsd and are having problems with your bladder. The past few months I've been having trouble with mine too. I spoke to my gynecologist about it and he prescribed some meds for me. I just got them so I don't know if they will work or not. If they don't I am going to see a urologist. I have had rsd for about six years now and had three abdominal surgeries due to endometriosis and gallstones. I am on gabapentin and pain meds from my PM dr. I don't know if my RSD or my surgeries or my meds are causing this problem either but I hope the meds my dr gave me will help. I do not have the numbness in my legs though. I am not a dr but if I were you I would see one to see what they think is causing your bladder problem. I understand how upsetting it is. I am upset it is happening to me as well. I hate RSD too! Hope you feel better soon.
