Default Hi Sue,

The hotline no. is 612-871-7676. I don't know if you have this but I just got it for the families who want to check on family members. I believe they said this was the Red Cross no.

I'm also from the Twin Cities area. I should have been over in that area, had I gone to my appt. Thank goodness, I didn't. I did however have a cousin, his wife, kids, and my niece all in the immediate area, when it happened. My cousin had just crossed over the bridge apprx. 1-2 minutes before it collapsed. Another minute or two and my niece would have been on that bridge. She started her new job yesterday...first time that she ever in the area.

Thank You all for keeping all of us MN people in your thoughts and prayers.

I am sending my condolences to everyone involved. We have had quite a few recent tragedies over here in Australia in recent times and it really makes me very sad for all of those involved---It sends a chill right through me looking at the footage.

Hi Everyone.

I also live in Minnesota. This is absolutely horrible. This is a main artery that runs through Minneapolis. There was a good thing - because of the work that was being done on the bridge, there was only 1 lane open. So, there would have been many more if all the lanes were open. It was almost eerie coming into work today. There were about 1/2 the amount of cars in the parking lot. I was told that news stations were asking for people to stay home today.

With this bridge out, it will be years before another one is built.

I have a similar story where a coworker would have had family members on that bridge when it collapsed. They happened to have a work radio in the car who notified this person to stop and not go any further on the highway.

Please pray for all of the people who are missing members of their families who could still be in the water. They are estimating 20-30 more cars that they haven't recovered yet. They know for sure that there are people in some of those cars.

Dear God, Please comfort all of the people who are missing their loved ones and hold all of them tight with your grace. Please give the survivors the courage and strength to go on. Please bless all of the people who have already passed and guide them into your arms for eternal peace. Amen.

Unhappy such a terrible tradgedy

Thanks Josie.

I have an Aunt & Uncle in a suburb of Minneapolis & their 4 kids, who are adults now, & familiese pretty much all live in that area. My Aunt & Uncle are retired. I have been waiting to try to call to find out if all are ok due to the phone lines being tied up with it all. But I finally did call another Aunt who would know if something had happened to any of our family & she said as far as she knew all was well with them all. That none of them used I-35 to go back & forth to work. Whew that was a load off of my mind. I myself have been across that I-35 bridge alot when I lived in Iowa. But that was years ago. It just seems so surreal to see it right now though. My prayers & thoughts go out to all that have been affected by this horrible tradgedy.

The reason they kept the Twins game on was to keep people at the game & off the streets. They felt that it would just cause heavier traffic with everyone leaving the game if they postponed it & that would make it worse for all the emergency vehicles. They have postponed the Twins game for today though.

Has anyone heard from Sue? Has she heard from her son? I have been thinking about her and her family, and praying that all is well. Please, if anyone has heard, please let us know?

Sue, I hope that all is well. I hope that you got through your hospital stuff good, and that you have been able to talk with your son and his family on the phone, and know that they are OK. I have been sending up all of the good thoughts and prayers that I can for you all!!

Love and
Jose

Thumbs up Sue and her

family are all ok, or as ok as one can be after such an awful disaster. She has several posts about it on the peripheral neuropathy board, so I will let you read first hand her excitment at hearing from her son and his coming visit. Carose
